Curriculum vitae

Emmanuel Oshowobi

UX Designer · Lagos, Nigeria

Summary

Designer with eight years of experience, four of them owning a software company's public web presence: pricing, homepage, sign-up, campaign and launch pages, a brand hub and a merch site. I came into product design from print, so typography and layout are where I started. I also build: I ship pages in production code using Claude Code and hand engineers working software rather than a spec, and I know where that ends and where a frontend engineer should take over.

Experience

UX Designer · Sendible

April 2022 – August 2026

Remote (UK). Social media management platform. Owned the public web presence, the conversion programme and the 2025 brand refresh.

  • Owned the public web presence across four years: pricing at over 130,000 visits a year, homepage, demo, campaign and launch pages, taking each from brief through to shipped and then iterating on live results rather than handing over once.
  • Designed and shipped a brand refresh across identity, marketing site, social and motion, including the About Us page with its micro-interactions, the brand hub, and the merch site. Sendible credited the work publicly on their own channels.
  • Built as well as designed where it was faster: shipped a pricing page and its content manager to the development agency as working production code written with Claude Code, cutting handoff-to-live from around two weeks to one, and giving the team a page they could edit without a developer.
  • Built a working report builder application in code, with a module library, drag-and-drop composition and grid resizing, so the team could test behaviour that cannot be judged by looking.
  • Optimised for people rather than pages, using session recordings, heatmaps and funnel analytics: a study of 16,021 visitors showed 86% never scrolled past the hero, which settled a months-long argument about page length.
  • Ran more than twenty conversion experiments over four years, taking new-visitor-to-trial conversion from 1.9% to a 3.11% quarterly average against a 3.00% target, and rebuilding sign-up to take sign-up-to-trial from 27.6% to 61.8%.
  • Designed for multiple currencies and regions, with geo-based defaults across pricing, plan selection and sign-up, deciding what a visitor sees based on where they are reading from.
  • Redesigned global navigation and site search across a large content estate.
  • Built reusable components and patterns into the design system alongside the frontend engineer who built it, judging when an existing pattern was right and when something new earned its place.

User Experience Designer · LawPavilion Business Solutions

December 2019 – April 2022

Legal technology. Brand, go-to-market and product design across the portfolio, including Primsol, a legal research platform.

  • Shaped brand visual language and go-to-market communications, covering launch materials, campaign creative and social assets.
  • Designed search, document reading and case citation for Primsol, a legal research platform built for practising lawyers rather than a general audience, where roughly three-quarters of user-raised issues came back to search.
  • Designed LawPavilion Store end-to-end, from discovery through to shipped product, covering catalogue, product detail and purchase flows.

Graphic / UI Designer · Nouveau Riche Media Technologies

June 2018 – November 2019

Design studio. Campaign work across web and print.

  • Designed campaign work across web and print, where layout, typography and hierarchy were the whole job.
